Roland Torpor (1938-1997) was described by Ronald Searle as "a one-man explosion, a human firework display, bursting out in all directions...He casts his stones into the pool and the ripples rock quite a number of boats". This bizarre (and rare in English) collection of Torpor's writings and drawings which have been described as "post-surrealist horror" provides a good introduction to his work.
