Binding and dustjacket are in near fine condition. Internally fine. A powerful novel of suffering and horror set in the Poland of the Second World War, taking in the Warsaw uprising and the Auschwitz death camp. The pen name chosen by De-Nur was the Yiddish slang meaning "Concentration Camper". 135633 was his concentration camp number.
Sunrise over Hell was originally published in Hebrew as Salamandra in 1946 from a manuscript in Yiddish written by De-Nur while in a British Army hospital following his rescue from Auschwitz.
