Victoria Station
Victoria Station Victoria Station
£65.00
[London] . 1982.

Typescript copy of the screenplay of Victoria Station, one of a trilogy of plays published and first performed at the Cottesloe Theatre in 1982 (the other two being A Kind of Alaska and Family Voices). 300x210mm. pp. [ii], 21 leaves. Bound with two metal split pin fasteners with maroon card covers. Very good copy with some slight shelfwear. On the rear of the final leaf has been written (not in Pinter's hand), "Priest/confessional". Victoria Station is a darkly comic radio dialogue between a taxi driver and his "controller". As with Pinter's screenplay for The Servant, the relationship between the two becomes menacingly inverted.
