The iconography of occultism

First edition. 278x215mm. pp. 394 [2]. Illustrated throughout in the text and with the ten colour plates called for. Black cloth, lettered in gilt. Original illustrated dustjacket. Chipping and tears to head and foot of spine of jacket and to corners with some loss and two small holes in lower cover of jacket but otherwise a very good copy and internally excellent.
The book is described thus on the front cover: "This unique book is a collection of the iconography of occultism, presenting with full explanations a large number of pictures selected from the most curious, characteristic, and rare illustrations to works on sorcery, magic, astrology, cheiromancy, cartomancy, alchemy, etc., including works in manuscript and incunabula forms". Which pretty much sums it up.
