Original beige buckram, lettering stamped in red to upper cover and spine. Original brick red dustjacket, lettered in black. Some slight chipping to the extremities of the dustjacket but otherwise the binding is in excellent condition. Internally fine, many of the pages unopened.

Dark green cloth, black labels with gilt lines and titling to upper cover and spine. Illustrated dust-jacket, with some very minor marking but overall in very good condition. Slipcase, cream label with black lettering, some slight marking and scuffing on the back but otherwise very good. Internally near fine with the colour plates in particularly fresh and good condition.

London. c1870.A mezzotint showing a mourning scene in a churchyard. A mother and child are weeping at the foot of an octagonal tomb on which is a ruined Doric column with ivy twisted around it. In the background is the church and on either side are looming leaning trees which frame the scene and appear to weep with the mourners. On the tomb have been stuck two unbearably moving mourning cards. The first is for Isabella Rowlandson who died aged 26 on 31st July 1875.

Half calf, marbled paper covered boards. Maroon morocco label to spine, lettered in gilt. Some slight rubbing to edges and to small areas one the spines (particularly to the foot of volume II) but overall in very good condition. Internally fine. A very nice set.

Spotting and marking to covers and some bumping to extremities. Bookseller label of Brentano's Paris on rear pastedown. Internally very good and overall this is a nice copy of a scarce title describing Macdonald's experiences serving in the French Army during the First World War. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: "To Charles-Henry Hirsch with the author's sincere admiration".

San Francisco. 1979.Black and white photograph by Anita Corbin. Photograph measures 370x263mm in the mount which is 470x365mm. A small crease to the top right corner but otherwise in excellent condition. It shows Peter Orlovsky and Allen Ginsberg during a poetry recital. Orlovsky is centre stage, mid-declamation and with his arms stretched out. Ginsberg is sitting next to him quietly watching him perform. The photograph is pasted onto card and placed in a white card mount. On the back of the card is an inscription "To Peter, love and hugs Anita Corbin".

New York . Undated.Spraypaint, acrylic and marker pen and stencil on an original New York subway map. Signed by Seen in black felt pen and numbered 142/500. Although numbered as a print, these NYC Subway Maps with added graffiti are original works as each has a different graffiti style. Image measures 810x570mm and the frame is 890x640mm.The map is a folding plan showing all the subways, buses, railroad and ferry links in NYC. It has been unfolded and is laid flat on a white card and framed. In excellent condition.

1974.A original painted glass panel depicting Onan designed by Alan Rose for National Lampoon's December 1974 Issue, Vol. 1, No. 57, entitled "The Judeo-Christian Tradition. The Joy of Sects". 483x358mm. The panel, which is painted to look like traditional church stained glass, shows the figure of a man surrounded by a gothic niche which itself is placed inside a pointed arch. Beneath the human figure is the word "Onan" which identifies the man and explains the leery grimace on his face and the white splashes that surround him.

Pictorial dustjacket with same portrait illustration in white, black and brown on upper cover. Endpapers decorated with a repeated sea-horse design. Some marking to dustjacket and a small stain to foot of spine but overall in very good condition and internally it is immaculate. Billy Childish is a genuinely counter-cultural figure.

Original pale green pictorial dustjacket, slight chipping to extremities, but overall in very good condition, protected by a plastic wrapper. Internally near fine with only very slight foxing to some of the early leaves. A very nice copy of this collection of essays by Huxley which includes work on D.H.

Original dust jacket in very good condition with only slight creasing to corners and to head and foot of spine. The front pastedown and two of the preliminary pages have the name and address of John Farquharson, 8 Halsey House, Red Lion Square stamped in purple ink. Farquharson was a well known literary agent and was Wright's agent in the negotiations for the first UK publication of Black Power.

Full dark green morocco, lettered in gilt to covers and spine. Bumping and chipping to head of spine but otherwise the binding is in very good condition. Internally very good although the front pastedown and the rear free end paper have some damage where labels have been removed and the final leaf has a small hole, not affecting the text.

Tallone. Printed on BFK Rives paper. 4to. 305x205mm. pp. xx, 21-312, [4]. Fifteen full page coloured woodcuts at the beginning of each chapter, specially made for this edition. These are in immaculate condition and internally the whole book is in fine condition. Bound by Giulio Giannini in red calf.

Contemporary calf: volume 1 joint with upper cover recently repaired, wear to joint with lower cover. Some rubbing and bumping to extremities of both volumes and slight scuffing to boards. Chipping to head and foot of spine of volume 2. Spine has five raised bands, contrasting morocco labels, lettered in gilt. The text block of both volumes is very good, in clean, crisp condition.

Very slight chipping to the dust jacket but overall in very good condition. The book itself is in fine condition throughout and the plates are superb.

From the Library of the Earls of Macclesfield, the front pastedown has the bookplate from the South Library. An attractive volume bringing together a series of letters by Thomas Pyle in support of Benjamin Hoadly's (Bishop of Bangor) Whiggish Low Church supinity. The final letter is a reply to Pyle.

Tipped-in coloured frontispiece. 178 illustrations including 48 tipped-in coloured plates. Loosely inserted 16 pp. pamphlet biography of Arman by Pierre Restnay dated 1973 and in French. Arman (1928-2005),was a French artist who moved from using the objects as paintbrushes to using them as the painting itself.

Otherwise, near fine; an excellent copy of a beautifully produced book. pp7-17: essays by Eugen Blume ("Conversation on the Beach too long") and Manfred Leve ("Photographing Block Beuys"), text in German and English. pp20-256, black and white photographs of Beuys's work.There are two short collections of photographs from exhibitions in Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach which form part of the "Ur-history" of the Block Beuys installation.

Rare in the dustjacket particularly in this very good condition. Internally in excellent condition.
