Some very minor rubbing to spine but otherwise a near fine set. Internally fine. Les Jeunes Filles and Pitié pour les femmes are exemplaires de presse (review copies).

Quarter calf, original paper covered boards, rubbing and wear to edges and corners with much of the paper covering worn. Rebacked, red morocco label, lettered in gilt. Foxing and browning and some ink marks, small tear to corner of E4 with no loss of text. Front pastedown has the ownership inscription of "Mrs Anne Cave, Barking Alley, 1761" and, opposite, on the recto of the front endpaper is inscribed "Elisbeath (sic) Castell, I.D". William Kenrick was a literary chancer.

Slight rubbing to the joints and mild bumping to the corners. Overall in very good condition. Internally very good, some browning to edges of title page and final leaf. Gathering Gg has been repaired affecting the text but not legibility.

A small crease to the top right corner but otherwise in excellent condition. It shows Peter Orlovsky and Allen Ginsberg during a poetry recital. Orlovsky is centre stage, mid-declamation and with his arms stretched out. Ginsberg is sitting next to him quietly watching him perform. The photograph is pasted onto card and placed in a white card mount. On the back of the card is an inscription "To Peter, love and hugs Anita Corbin".

It has been unfolded and is laid flat on a white card and framed. In excellent condition.

The Joy of Sects". 483x358mm. The panel, which is painted to look like traditional church stained glass, shows the figure of a man surrounded by a gothic niche which itself is placed inside a pointed arch. Beneath the human figure is the word "Onan" which identifies the man and explains the leery grimace on his face and the white splashes that surround him.

Approx. 8220 x 535 mm (323 ½ x 21 in). This image (also known as Right Hand Woman) was designed by Jones in 1970. It was made as a roll of wallpaper in 1972 by one of the oldest wallpaper factories in Germany in the series X Art Wall Collection. Other artists participating in this extraordinary project included Jean Tinguely, Otmar Alt and Eric Stanton.

Original green boards, sympathetically rebacked, upper board printed in gold, lettering fading. Corners worn but overall a very good copy. The earliest known full length confession by a female addict. Annie Meyers, describes her descent from “well balanced Christian woman” to “a haggard and wretched physical and mental wreck”. Her problems began with Birney’s Catarrh Remedy and the book traces her numerous arrests, her progressive physical decline illustrated by photographs and her eventual recovery.

The Stuckists were founded by Charles Thomson and Billy Childish on 4th August 1999 with the publication of the Stuckist Manifesto in which they declared themselves to be “Against conceptualism, hedonism and the cult of the ego-artist”.

Contemporary calf with double fillet borders in gilt to upper and lower covers, five raised bands to spine, compartments simply decorated with gilt borders. The binding is worn in places with scuffing, particularly to the foot of the upper cover at the joint and on the lower cover near the joint where there is cracking. Corners bumped and rubbed. But overall this is a handsome, simple and tight binding. The contents are in excellent condition, bright and fresh with only a little foxing.

Bonnet’s philosophical defence of Christianity was originally articulated in his “La palingénésie philosophique, ou idées sur l’état passé et sur l’état futur des êtres vivans” (1769) and “Recherches philosophique sur les preuves du christianisme” (1770).
