First edition, first impression. 8vo. 173x118mm. pp, 315 [1]. Publisher's green cloth lettered and decorated with the mountain design and a dragon stamped in dark blue. Lacking the scarce dustjacket. Chipping and some wear to head and foot of spine and slight staining to covers. Some foxing but otherwise very good and overall a nice copy of one of the most famous of all children's books (first printed in a small run of 1500 copies) and the fons et origo of one of the most extraordinary cultural phenomena of our time.
