The Satanic Witch is a provocative and influential work first published in 1971. A companion to The Satanic Bible, it is intended as a guide for women wanting to understand and practice the principles of LaVeyan Satanism. Beginning with an introduction by LaVey's daughter which describes how her father's book works as a practical guide, it explores subjects such as manipulation, seduction and the art of feminine power in a patriarchal society. LaVey provides strategies for women to wield power in relationships, both romantic and social. For LaVey, the Satanic witch is a woman who is intellectually empowered, self-assured, and manipulative in a way that serves her interests. For those seeking a quick way into the book, LaVey provides a helpful twenty question quiz at the beginning. If you answer yes to 13 of them then consider yourself a witch. As one of them asks: "Have you ever been considered 'cheap'?", I guess that means we are well on our way.
