Contemporary half calf, marbled paper covered boards, green label to spine, lettered in gilt. Corners bumped and rubbed. Slight foxing and browning and staining to first page of "Subscribers Names". Overall a nice copy of a book which went through numerous editions (under different imprints) in its first year (1795), ESTC recording this as the second edition with two copies in the UK (BL and NLS) and eight in the US.

White cloth, lettered in black to spine, illustrated dustjacket. Slight scuffing to dust jacket at head and foot of spine and at corners. Illustrated endpapers. Internally fine. Illustrated throughout with colour and black and white photographs. The drawing by Penrose on the title page is an abstract design in green, black and red pastel and the inscription reads "for Stephen and Natasha with my love Roland".

Eleven poems printed in Spanish and English on Velin Arches Blanc 270gsm paper folders (575x385mm). The title page is designed by Frost and printed by lithography. The colour etchings which are loosely inserted into the folders are printed on Somerset Satin 300gsm paper, some hand-coloured by Frost. All are signed in pencil by Frost and marked "pp". Housed in a black cloth covered Solander box designed by the artist. Issued in an edition of seventy-five.

Original red cloth, slightly faded in places in original dustjacket, chipped along the top edge with a piece (25x10mm) missing from top corner. Internally very good with extensive underlinings and a marginal annotation in blue ink, all by Markson. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: "From Dylan in the West End Tavern to Dave under the volcano. 1952". Beneath this Thomas has also written: "In London, 54 Delancey St. Camden Town, N.W.1. In Wales, Boat House, Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, Wales".

White dust jacket with black and white photograph on the front. Title and author printed in black on front and spine. Protected by plastic covers. Dust jacket has some modest sunning and a small repaired tear to the head of its spine. Contents fine, dust jacket very good but it is extraordinarily rare to find this highly sought-after and important collection in its original jacket. ffep has a non-authorial gift inscription.

New York: Harry N. Abrams. 1969.First Edition. Cloth with gilt decorated elephant and donkey emblems of the Republican and Democratic Parties. Dust jacket with some wear and small tears on spine and upper edges. Contents near fine, jacket very good. Inscribed by Duncan to his friend the photo-editor John G Morris. "November 1969. For John - Happy Thanksgiving and Super Saludos - Dave". This is a superb photographic record of the 1968 Conventions. From the Library of John G Morris. John G. Morris (1916-2017) was probably the most celebrated photo-editor of the 20th century.

1972.Photo silkscreen on graph paper (900x735mm). Inscribed in pencil in the bottom margin “For Francesco - [Signed] Robert Mapplethorpe ‘73”. An early work from an important stage in the development of Mapplethorpe’s career. When he graduated from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn in 1969, Mapplethorpe was making mixed-media collages using images torn from magazines. In 1971, he befriended John McKendry, curator of photographs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. McKendry allowed Mapplethorpe access to the Museum’s photography archives and later that year gave him his first Polaroid camera.

Original grey paper covered boards, original label to spine. Tear to head of spine, rubbing to joints and corners of boards. Internally very good, a few pencil underlinings and marginal annotations and some pages unopened and overall a nice copy of a rare work located by Worldcat in seven UK libraries and none in the US.

Original illustrated paper covered board with an image of the Union Flag and the Stars and Stripes. Edges and corners worn, paper on spine is torn with loss. Hinges cracked but holding and would benefit from a little repair. Rare, JISC Library Hub locating four copies in UK institutions (BL, NLS, Oxford and Cambridge) with Worldcat adding two more (NYPL and Australian National University) and no copies in the auction records.

n.p. n.p.. 1880-1934.An archive collection of seven sketchbooks extensively illustrated with, in total, over 500 drawings, sketches and studies by the Arts and Craft architect William Bidlake (1861-1938). The drawings are in pen and ink or pencil. Most are highly worked, detailed drawings of buildings (particularly churches) either standing alone or in the context of more developed street scenes but there are numerous studies of architectural details such as gothic window tracery and column capitals. Landscape scenes also feature and there is a small number of sketches of the human form.

Pictorial dustjacket with same portrait illustration in white, black and brown on upper cover. Endpapers decorated with a repeated sea-horse design. Some marking to dustjacket and a small stain to foot of spine but overall in very good condition and internally it is immaculate. Billy Childish is a genuinely counter-cultural figure.

In excellent condition with only a little light shelfwear to the extremities Internally very good. Signed by Kroll on the frontispiece. A nice copy of an important sociological study. Offered with an original vintage print signed by Eric Kroll on the back and from his own collection. Part of the mount is cut out to show the signature. In very good condition.

1970Photograph (187x254mm) of the cast of the 1970 film MASH signed by Robert Altman, Donald Sutherland, Elliot Gould, Sally Kellerman, Ring Lardner Jr, Michael Murphy, Tom Skerritt, Rene Auberjunois, John Schuck. On the verso is the label of Jerry Ohlinger's Movie Material Store. In very good condition.

Signed in pencil by Angus McBean and inscribed by Eliot "for Charles Reilly with affection from Tom and Valerie". Valerie has signed in her hand. A small mark to the lower right corner of the mount and a crease to the top right corner but otherwise in very good condition. On the verso is McBean's copyright stamp. Tom and Valerie are gazing at each other with complete affection.

Line drawing of a bull's head in gilt to upper cover, spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt. Issued loose in a separate box is another, signed set of these etchings.

Chocolate brown and cafe-au-lait cloth in the original near fine dust-wrapper. Some light creasing to rear. In mylar wraps. Cracking to joints just before the appendix. A crucial work for anyone interested in the development of suburbia or metro-land. The book gives full details of the types of houses then springing up around all of England's major cites in the post-WWI effort to create 'homes fit for heroes'.

London and Cambridge Richard Harraden. 1798-1800.First edition. 277x385mm. Frontispiece and eighteen engravings showing scenes of Cambridge Colleges. Platemarks measure approximately 170x250mm. The Small Views are bound with the frontispiece to "Views of Cambridge Drawn by Rd. Harraden" which has been trimmed resulting in the loss of the first three words. Also bound in are six engravings of country house views by William Poole, published by R&J Snare, Reading in 1798. The leaf following each country house view is a handsome descriptive letterpress with a brief history of the house.

Marks to spine. Internally very good with some pencil annotations. Front free endpaper has the ownership inscription "James Morton, Gowanbank, Darvel, Jan. 1896" and the front pastedown has the bookplate of Beatrice Emily and James Morton designed by C.F.A.Voysey. James was the son of Alexander Morton, the founder of the eponymous textile and weaving firm. James trained with the family firm, becoming a partner in 1895.

Original yellow/gold rough canvas with title stamped in red on upper cover. Corners slightly bumped and light soiling on the covers. Internally very good with some slight marking in places. Overall a very nice copy. Some Limericks has long been a popular work, famous for its obscene verse and clever, amusing mock-scholarly apparatus. It has appeared in a number of pirated editions.

Internally very good. Front free endpaper is inscribed "Frances Marten 1867, from H.C.R." On the front pastedown opposite is pasted a photograph of "H.C.R." who is Henry Crabb Robinson. The front free endpaper also has the book label of Priscilla and Samuel Meek. This reprint of Songs of Innocence and Experience contains two previously unpublished Blake poems.
